The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little incentive to find more of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pressed up the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has actually entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
